Behind Holidays After Exams

Sorry I couldn't keep my promise for an earlier post. Besides my A-Levels exams, I had to study for SATs. LOL ( In case you didn't know, SAT stands for Standard Aptitude Test, but apparently it doesn't test your aptitude only anymore, so now it stands for... nothing.)

So, about SAT. My dad once told me that since it just tests your English and Math, I wouldn't need to study as hard for it as compared to my A-Level Exams. I thought so too, at first, until I saw what really came out in SAT through the practice questions.

So I ended up spending half of the week two weeks ago cramming for the exams.

Too soon, the day of the SAT ( 2 June ) arrived. Basically, the whole day was a blur, but all I can say is this:

If you don't have endurance, you probably won't survive the test.

Seriously, the questions asked will stump you senseless ( except Maths, I'm actually quite good at it )
PLUS you only have less than half an hour to finish each section
PLUS you have to finish each section back to back, and there are 10 sections.

Overall, I wish I did well, cause I wouldn't want to resit the SAT again.

Thank God for toilet breaks.

Speaking of toilet breaks, something literally pissed me off the other day.

I was going downstairs for a drink of water when I heard something crashing in the kitchen. I went in to check, and ZOOM! A grey blur ran past me and hit the window opposite the kitchen door. AHA! It was one of those nasty cats, which obviously came in through the open glass door near the side for a raid and couldn't get out. It then went headfirst into other windows, hoping to find an exit. With an evil satisfaction I stood by and watched it hurt itself more. (On hindsight, it probably wasn't a really good thing to do, but it DID mess up our garden a lot, and my family's definitely not cat people.)

And then, it either got smart or got stupid, and ran up the stairs.

Shocked as I was, I chased it upstairs, and the cat attached itself to the upstairs grill window, and no matter what I did, it just wouldn't come off.

Calm down.....

Finally, my dad managed to carry it out (after calming it down, I never could do that well) after putting on gloves and his work jacket. Soon, we discovered that the cat left a part of itself in at least three places in the house, one of them being my bedroom table.

*sigh* Another reason to hate cats.

Anything to say, cat people? If you do, then cya soon.

Behind the Doors of A College Classroom

I'm telling you, the tables in college really had shrunk a lot compared to when I was in high school.

So, I guess its been awhile since I've visited, so a brief update of college life.

ITS AWESOME!!!!

My college friends kinda remind me of my high school classmates. You know, the ones they call the Monkey Class. (Hey, that's what 4M/5M stands for, okay?) Except my friends in college are a bit more classier, and only slightly more mature.

In secondary school

In college

Hey, not being sarcastic here, but HELP Academy IS a private college after all.

So, anyway, life in college. Everyone in A-Levels gets categorized into their groups based on subject combo. There's the pure sciences group, the pure business group, the Further Math group....

And there's my group. The rojak group, consisting of people taking every subject available (except, strangely, Further Math). Thus, you'll see that our Math Classes would be massively huge, but our other classes would be somewhat smaller.

Not that I'm complaining, mind you. This just means that I can socialise with people from all (beginnings of) walks of life. I think that the problem with people these days is that they tend to stick together with those who share a common interest or pursuit. Everybody should break out of their clique once in a while and see things from the other side, no?

Oh, and did I mentioned I can drive now? But more on that in the next post, cause it'll make a very fitting title. :)

Now, since my exams are over and I have some extra time before the second semester starts, I'll be updating my blog much more often than usual. Well, mostly because I have the time, but partly because a friend of mine from college is also starting a blog, and I'm not losing out to her. Follow it here:

http://coffeeortea-smile.blogspot.com/

Its funny, because Vy Vyan (de blog writer) is one of the most young-at-heart, playful (and sometimes horniest) girl in college I've ever known. But she writes like an emotional pro. In a nutshell:

Dark Side!

Maybe I should take a leaf outta her blog and start taking life seriously.

Nah, maybe not.

But then again, when she's studying or something, she puts on her glasses, and POOF! She goes into serious mode. Maybe, just maybe, there's a soul in that pair of glasses?!

Hmm. Anyways, cya somewhere down the week.

Behind is 2011, In Front is 2012

And so a new year has come into existence.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!

So, what has happened during the end year holidays?

Nothing much, really. Only that I've applied to study in HELP academy, my now current school.

Oh, and I went to India with my family! While I am mentioning my family, just saying here that I think I have a crush on my cousin. Hope she doesn't see this... =3=
Taj Mahal, India Gate, Red Fort... Some really nice places there. Pictures can be found on my Facebook. If you can find it, that is...

Oh and I went skiing for the first time! It was fun. And cold. Strangely I didn't end up on my face that time.

HERE I GO...                           LOOK OUT!!!

And now, I am still cold in the air conditioned seminar room of my college. Dunno what college life will bring me, but I say BRING IT ON!

Tell you guys when the "it" mentioned above really arises. Till then, cya.

Behind SPM

... or the end of it. Yay!

Anyway... There goes the end of one section of my life. The middle/high school part.

True, it means freedom from the tyranny of school. But looking back, it feels kinda sad. I mean, that's the thing that turned me from this:

Into this:

Not really sure if its good or bad.

But I am still thankful for it.

So, hope to cya soon.

Behind The Delay

Sorry the blog post took so long to come up.

I was busy with my SPM trials, what with studying and all.

Anyways, just to say that this blog is gonna be in a coma for a while.

Even Google understands.

And I'm thinking that I should just download bannedstory to another computer. You think?

Gonna memorize formulas now. Cya.

Behind The Other Side of The Blazer

As of now, I am outside it.

It's been a few days since I've stopped being a prefect. Now the juniors are in charge of the discipline of the school. I still remember the day of the retirement like it was yesterday ( although it was this Monday... *ahem* ).

Of course, the pics helped a bit too...
Awesome aerial view!!

The now ex-seniors

Juniors standing at attention.

Handing over of flag and power of two generations of Ketua Pengawas

His final speech as KP

And so our life as prefects in this school has ended. But it is just the beginning for more to come...

P.S. There are more photos to come too!
