Behind the Musica

I love music. Plus, it was indeed a very musical weekend.

First of was thFete De La Musique 2012 organized by the HELP UC in collaboration with Maybank, at two separate places at once, the Curve and the BB Park.

I would like to say that while the music was great ( think a French Solo, dance performances[contemporary, no less], and the band Rosevelt ), there was hardly any crowd, except us mock crowds wearing SASA T-shirts, which kinda sucked, since as I said earlier, I love music, and I hate to see good music being ignored.

The only time a real crowd gathered around was when Rosevelt performed. They're pretty good.

I guess everyone was too "busy shopping".

People these days....

Anyways.... PICTURES:

CONTINUE?

Ah well. Only if someone comments that they wanna see them, then.

But I couldn't stay long though, so I couldn't catch most of the performances, which was a shame really.

Why did I have to go off early, you said? Well, that's because my family and I were off to catch MLTR live! That's Micheal Learns To Rock if you are horrible in acronyms.

Wait a minute, I hear you all say. Aren't they some old band or something? Why are they still having concerts?

Well, actually, yes, they are old-ish, but cut them some slack, they've only been to Malaysia twice. (This is the third time.)

Mom usually doesn't approve of us kiddies going out to concerts, but this time its because my uncle secured some extra tickets (don't ask me how) for the concert to celebrate the launching of the Setia City Mall. I still don't know how to get there.

Anyways, those were some really good seats. Two seats in the second row!!! What are the odds?

Buuuut being the extremely kind-hearted and generous brother I am, I stepped aside and let my siblings have them; Mom and myself content with 10th row in the free seating area.

But my lil' brother and my cousin (who was in front too) got some pretty awesome pictures. Check it out:

Sorry for long post, but for awesome music, it is well deserved.

And yes, Micheal is still Learning To Rock.

But still.

Cya soon if you appreciate good music.

Behind This Curtain Of Haze

I DON'T THINK THAT'S POLLUTION BRO, I THINK THAT'S

Who am I kidding? That thing floating around in the air now, blocking most of the scenery (OK, I admit, my scenery is just a hill with trees, but still) : that's definitely pollution.

I hate this time of the year, when the haze sets in. It halves my vision, irritates my nose, and gives me this nasty cough.

Plus, I've totally lost the will to jog.

But to tell you the truth, this was long time coming. The smoke we get from cars, lorries, factories, campfires, wildfires, open fires, cigarettes, cigars etc, they have to go somewhere, right? But they have no home, not in the same way that CO2 can return to trees at the end of a long day; so they decide to linger on and poison us all.

But that's not the worst part. What really gets me off is that once the haze comes, people - no - governments start blaming other governments. I won't go into details, but it has something to do about forest fires happening in our neighbour, and the smokes blowing into our airspace or something.

And here I am, begrudging those who burn their rubbish everyday.

If we have to blame somebody, let it be this guy:

Ah well, I've said so much, but what can I do? Stop cooking?

Best thing is to go get some masks, no?

Going out now. Cya. Hopefully by then the smoke's cleared.

Behind the Friendship Sailing Past Penang

FUN! That's one word to describe it!

But of course, anytime you go anywhere you go with a bunch of friends (especially those like mine) would turn out to be a crazy time.

Words can't describe it; let the pictures do the talking:

Pictures not in correct order.

Guess which one of 'em is me? ;)

But to tell you the truth, I've never been much of a friend person. I mean, ever since primary, I've mostly been keeping to myself, afraid to reach out, I guess. Could be because I was shy; Could be I was convinced that friends aren't important.

Boy, was I wrong. Through my life, I've always been jealous of my mates who often hang out with each other and go out together. Maybe it's because I've always been living too far away from my school, or from everyone else.

Or maybe, I realised in secondary school, I wasn't trying hard enough.

So, I started putting in some effort. Trying to take the initiative. Knowing people. Remembering their names for once. (Yeah, I always had trouble with that.)

And honestly, life got better, especially during the SPM year, when stress levels are at all time high. Sure, it has its dramas, but friends will make your life better.

Laugh with you. Cry with you. Laugh at you when you cry. (Usually the latter occurs.)

Because in life, you can't take down bosses solo. You need allies with all their different abilities if you want to stand a chance in life.

So, I would like to say thank you to all my friends, new and old. You've made my life a lot more fun (and a lot more lame) and I salute you guys for it. *tearing*

LOL Why am I getting so sentimental? Cause I love you all, that's why!

Now, if only I could stop falling in love with my girl friends....

What am I saying!?!? Stupid second personality! Cya later while I argue with myself.
